Yes to Believe
You have to start somewhere, you have to start with faith. You have to say Yes to believe. What is faith? Is faith hope? Is faith truth? Actual faith is complete trust or confidence in something or someone. Where do you put your trust? Who has your confidence? As a Christian, we choose to put our full belief in God. When we open our Bibles, we believe the words God spoke into the writers and the words are from Him. We must believe that each story tells His story. We must place Him on His throne and declare He is worthy of our belief.
Faith is a beautiful, free gift. A gift of The Father, who sent His Son to earth. A heavenly being sent down to be human and walk on earth. A Son of God who was perfect, who honored his father and mother, who chose love over anger, who chose to heal the sick, who chose to perform miracles, and who chose to die on a cross a painful death. Jesus gave His life because He loves you! He chose you!
As with all gifts, they must be received. How else do you get gifts? Do you receive a gift by someone shoving it in your hands? No, you extend your arms to take hold of it. You chose in that moment to receive it. Faith is gift you have to choose. It may not be easy, it may feel like you are losing control, it may even seem like your life is not your own, but putting your thoughts on something, or in this case Someone, offers more love into your life.
JESUS CHOSE YOU! John 3:16 is a common Bible verse, today slow down and read it phrase by phrase. Read it aloud. Write it down on a notecard and post it on your mirror. Memorize it. It will come back many times in your life as a reminder of God’s love for you. Saying Yes to God is the best decision you will ever make! Saying Yes to God is the most exciting thing of your life! Say yes!
