Yes to Love
Love is hard to put into words. But don’t you want to say yes to love? For some people they see love. Others feel love. Others think love. Even still others experience love. The truth is love is all those things. We long to be loved and give love. Each teen girl has stories in her life shaped by love. Oh, dear one, do you know how much you are loved by The Creator of the world? Just as you are in this moment, you are loved. Look around, He is showering you with love.
God’s love is something different. He loved you first. God’s love is something you can cling to and grasp. The Bible tells us God is love over and over and over. He loves us every single minute of the day, every single day of the year, and every year of our lives and then some. His love is never-ending because He is unending. He loves you so much!
He loves you more than anything. Your past does not determine your future. It may have brought hurt. But it is not who you are at your core. Your future is a path of hope, a path of change, and you are the one who is making that decision. You were created for this moment, in this generation to love God and love others. He has a purpose for you to bring Him glory while you go to school. He has a purpose for you now and for when you are older.
It is His love that you must choose to believe and accept because it matters for your whole life.
He will always be there when you feel like nobody loves you. He will be there when you have done wrong. God’s love is so much bigger than sin and He’ll be there during your struggles. And when sin creeps in, He will help you to choose the right path. He will guide you when you feel like there is no place to go. He will comfort you when you feel like no one loves you. He will put His love for you on display and show you His character. It’s who He is, He is love.
Check out Zephaniah 3:17. That is just one verse in the whole Bible in which God reveals Himself to you. There are many more like it! And since you were created in His image and those are character traits of Him, don’t you think He wants you to live out those in your life? Don’t you think He wants to bring you peace in your heart and mind? He delights in you by holding you close. How you live in faith brings Him joy.
